At this point, Thanos is the Bigfoot of the MCU!
Avengers: Infinity War has finished filming and promotional material is starting to spill out. And we’ve got a new sighting of the Mad Titan.
The sticker company Savii revealed some images online. While small, one image showcased Thanos again without his helmet, which may be the look he’ll have in most of the film.
Since the first Avengers film debuted way back in 2012, all eyes have been on Thanos. Following the post credit scene that rocked the superhero genre and revealed part his endgame, Thanos has continued to scheme in the shadows. That will all change in next year’s Avengers: Infinity War.

Marvel is aware of what has been called its “Villain Problem” and it appears they’ll attempt to correct that with its most powerful bad guy yet. They sure didn’t skimp on casting with Josh Brolin starring via motion capture, .
Considering that many of the actors playing the original Avengers are at the end of their contracts, this film could be the most important in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) yet. A followup is currently in production.
The MCU has always done an amazing job with costumes. They’ve mixed the look from the comics with the realism they’ve been aiming for in their movies. As the film world delved deeper into high-end fantasy — i.e. Doctor Strange, Guardians of the Galaxy — filmmakers have felt more comfortable lifting more designs from the books. Just wait till you see Cate Blanchett’s Hela in Thor: Ragnarok.
Thanos appears to be part of that. Sure, he has gone baldheaded in a lot of the Infinity War art, but he’s had his helmet in the three film cameos he’s made — in Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers: Age of Ultron. We still have to wait till next year to find out where his helmet’s gone.
