Just order a regular cheeseburger, and ask for a side of peanut butter sauce, put them together, and you’ve got yourself a strange yet, kind of appetizing new burger. Shake Shack even claims that, while it’s not officially on the menu, it’s become a fans favorites. So, how weird tasting can it really be? After all, peanut butter is good. 9. Sonic – Fritos Chili Cheese Pie

It might seem impossible to imagine that Sonic could possibly offer even more menu options than it already does. You can already get pretty much anything. And yet, there could still be a ton of secret menu items you have yet to try, and of these might be the Fritos Chili Cheese Pie, a true feast. The Frito Chilli Cheese pie is made with crunchy Fritos, perfectly seasoned chili, and is topped with melty, nacho cheese. Basically, a new and improved way to enjoy Fritos as a main meal. It’s not exactly a “secret” as it used to be on the menu back in 2018, along with some other pretty tasty Fritos delicacies, such as the Fritos Chili Cheese Jr. Wrap and the Chili Cheese Jr. Burger, but they have all since been discontinued. However, if this sounds like the kind of pie that would make you smile, you’re in luck because some Sonic locations still offer the Fritos Chili Cheese Pie – as part of their official Secret Menu. Go ahead and order it by name, but if they look at you like you’ve just lost your mind and have no idea what you’re talking about, just ask for Fritos topped with chili and cheese, and you should be golden. Just like the Fritos themselves, yum! If you’re a fan of Fritos and chili fries, this is literally the best thing that could ever come your way; treat yourself to this cheesy, chili, and tasty secret that is the Fritos Chili Cheese Pie.

8. McDonald’s – Monster Mac

If you think your traditional Big Mac is already a tad too big for you, then this next secret item might fill you up just by looking at it. On the other hand, if a Big Mac is merely an entree to your McD’s experience, this might just be the one that got away. The Monster Mac is basically what the name says: a monster Big Mac. The stuff of nightmares for any dietitian, basically. Along with all the regular Big Mac fixings, this bad boy packs up a total of 8 beef patties. Yes, you heard that right, 8 patties all piled up inside that tiny bun. Is it scary, yet? If you’re feeling a little more adventurous, you can even add the extra 8 slices of cheese to accompany your very lonely patties – you’re already on the verge of food insanity anyway, so why not go all the way, right? It’s quite the challenge for anyone, really, even if you’re an avid Wendy’s T-Rex Burger lover. Even though it’s a pretty massive and quite intimidating burger, it’s surprisingly really popular and not that much more expensive than a regular Big Mac. For the modest price of just under $7 bucks, you can indulge in this monster of a burger as everyone watches in horror. Not every McDonald’s employee will know what a Monster Mac is, so you might want to live your fantasy to the fullest by asking for a Big Mac with 8 beef patties and see their genuine reaction. Either a total glutton or a true genius, the inventor of this secret hack deserves a lot of credit as they may have found a way to take a classic like the Big Mac and make it even more iconic.

7. Wendy’s – Barnyard Burger

Are you tired of constantly having to choose between chicken and beef? No, we’re not talking about your next wedding invitation RSVP, but about the arduous decision you need to make at the drive-thru between a hamburger or a chicken burger. Well, struggle no more because this Wendy’s secret menu item is here to save the day. By ordering the Barnyard Burger, you get to experience the satisfaction of all the meats, all in just one juicy burger. It’s a mix of a chicken patty, a beef patty, some crispy bacon, cheese, fresh lettuce, and tomatoes, all served between soft buns. The only thing missing? Some ham maybe, but sadly Wendy’s doesn’t serve ham anymore – too bad. There are many different ways to order this tasty burger, but one of the best and most popular is to simply add a burger patty to the Asiago Ranch Chicken Club. Or if you’re looking for a little bit more spice, you can add that same beef patty, along with some bacon and cheese to the Spicy Chicken Sandwich. It’s the perfect balance of beef and poultry everyone’s been dying to try. And admit it, you’re a little bummed out you didn’t think of this mix sooner. Who said you could only get one or the other? With the Barnyard Burger, you get everything you could possibly ask for, and more!

6. Five Guys – Double Grilled-Cheese Burger

Another secret menu item perfect for the undecided folks of this world. If you find yourself constantly hesitating between a cheeseburger or a grilled-cheese sandwich, boy, do we have the perfect compromise for you! The Double Grilled-Cheese Burger from Five Guys is, without a doubt, the definition of a cheesy miracle. It consists of however many juicy patties you can stomach and the toppings of your choice, all stuffed in between not one but two grilled-cheese sandwiches that were fried up on the griddle, acting as the buns. Oh, and, of course, some slices of cheese on the patties because, otherwise, there wouldn’t be enough. Some people might say that the Double Grilled-Cheese Burger is just way too much cheese. But these people would be wrong. Cheese in a burger is imperative. It’s half the fun, so how could adding more of this melted mess make things worse? Yes, extra cheese means extra calories, but really, this one might just be worth it. Just spend some extra minutes on the treadmill to compensate – you’ll be fine. To order this cheesy delight, it’s fairly simple. All you need to do is order two grilled-cheese sandwiches and ask them to put the patties and your toppings in between, and there you have it. Double the trouble, but a delicious secret burger.

 5. Taco Bell – Enchirito

It’s always hard when your favorite item leaves the menu and gets replaced seemingly without a second thought. It’s the type of grief only die-hard food fans understand. This is the kind of loss people experienced when they had to bid a tearful farewell to the Enchirito from Taco Bell menus. This delicious burrito-enchilada hybrid was the definition of a Tex-Mex delicacy and definitely made a tasty impression on everyone who tried one. But, don’t worry if you’re still hung up on this cheesy treat. If you’re simply curious to know what heaven tastes like, there’s still a way to try it. Bring on Taco Bell’s secret menu. Most employees will know exactly what you’re talking about if you order one by name – probably because they share the same passion for these little Enchiritos – but just in case you’re met with someone who’s not up to speed, here’s an easy way to order it. Start by ordering a Burrito Supreme – which has beef, beans, diced onions, cheddar cheese, and tomatoes, then ask for a side of sour cream, red sauce, and nacho cheese sauce and two sides of the three-cheese blend. Finally, ask for everything to be put on top of the burrito and warmed up for you, and voila! Okay, not as easy as promised, but hey, at least you’ll get to experience the pleasure of indulging in this tasty secret enchirito.

4. Steak’n Shake – 7×7 Burger

Are you a night owl? Are you the kind of person who prefers the calm and quiet the night brings? Well, if night time is the right time to enjoy some nice, tasty burgers, then you’re in luck. Steak’n Shake has the absolutely perfect new addition to your go-to late-night hangout spot. The 7×7 burger is like the traditional steakburger offered at Steak’n Shake, only 7 times more yummy – and greasy – oh, and 7 times the calories! The 7×7 burger has 7 beef patties topped with melted cheese wedged between a soft bun. Oh, and it’s only available at night. You can only order one of these monstrosities between midnight and 6 am – you know, as a light, casual snack before you go to bed. Or after a night out if in need of an overdose of fat and calories. In any case, this secret giant is always here to satisfy your cravings, no matter how big they may be. For only $7,77 – see what they did there – you can get a 7×7 burger and become the talk of the town if you attempt the 7×7 challenge. The record? Eat it under 4 minutes! Not a challenge for the faint of heart, that’s for sure. Clearly, whoever said nothing good ever happens after 2 am, never had the Steak’n Shake 7×7 burger.

3. Hooters – Veggie Burger

Attention! This is not a drill! Hooters has a veggie burger, I repeat, Hooters has a veggie burger! Okay, it might not be cause for that much excitement or hype even, but still. Hooters isn’t usually the first place that comes to mind when you want some vegetarian friendly options – or anything besides burgers and wings, to be honest, so it’s nice to see the menu evolving a bit. You go to Hooters to watch sports and eat wings. That’s it. That’s – ahem – really it. So when people started hearing rumors about a veggie burger being offered, but was nowhere to be seen on the menu, people had to head down to their local Hooters and see for themselves. Turns out, it is very true and is actually quite tasty. You can actually spot the words “Vegetarian Patties Available” on their website, but that’s about the extent of the advertisement. They don’t exactly shout it from the rooftops that they now offer some vegetarian alternatives; go figure. It sounds like something that would bring in even more customers, especially with vegetarianism becoming more and more popular over the last few years. Sadly though, the veggie burger is not vegan, so vegans, keep hoping, your time to shine will come too, one day. Hopefully Hooters will say it louder for the people in the back and not just make it a word of mouth situation.

2. In-N-Out – Flying Dutchman

Contrary to the popular folklore surrounding the Flying Dutchman, the ghost pirate ship that would terrorize the sea, this secret In-N-Out burger is far from scary. If anything, it’s scary just how tasty it actually is. And just how easy it is to order. The Flying Dutchman consists of two slices of cheese melted between two beef patties. Simple as that. No vegetable nonsense. No buns. Just a lot of cheese. Just the plain, good old beef and cheese combo. The perfect way to avoid any distraction from the two most important elements in any burger. Who needs all those extra toppings, anyway? But, if you’re feeling particularly epic and you want to mix things up a bit, you can always ask for your Flying Dutchman to be “Animal Style,” meaning you will be enjoying your bunless burger with a scoop of diced onions in the cheese, some pickles, and sauce. Obviously, this means a much bigger and greasier mess, but hey, pirates never turned away from a challenge and neither should you. So why not take a leap off the plank and order this non-traditional burger next time you’re at In-N-Out and finally understand why it’s such a fan favorite. All aboard! You’re about to navigate through a burger experience like none other before.

1. Chipotle – Quesarito

When your regular Chipotle order just seems too dull or too small, or if you just feel like trying something new that’s kinda hush-hush, the Quesarito is here for you. It’s basically a massive burrito, but instead of the usual tortilla, it’s wrapped in a warm and gooey cheese quesadilla. Because, you know, sometimes a 10-pound burrito isn’t enough. You just need that extra cheese to go with that extra size. That’s exactly the way you should order it: any kind of burrito wrapped inside a quesadilla. Simple as that. Now, as tasty and easy as it sounds, you probably won’t be celebrated if you order one of these. The employees usually hate making it because well, first of all, it takes forever to make, and holds up the line, and secondly, it’s just a pain to assemble – messy and annoying. Don’t be surprised if you get a couple of eye rolls as you order the Quesarito. Just make sure you ask politely and with a big smile. Courtesy can go a long way, especially when it comes to secret menus. It does have to be made with love, after all.
